August is only a few months away and we are busy behind the scenes. We have so many cool things we are working on! More music, more food options, more activities, more scavenger hunts, more gaming, more vendors, and yassss there will be be mermaids, drag queens and a tea party! ☕️

For those new to Swords Brooms & Magical Beasts (SBMB), we are thrilled to have you join us. Our bi-annual, fantasy-themed event is free to attend and takes over the historic town of Occoquan, featuring activities hosted by over 25 local businesses.

Much like a convention, we offer a full day of scheduled activities, shuttle services, and themed food and drinks. We are run by a dedicated team of volunteers committed to spreading joy and wonder throughout our community. What started over three years ago as an art show inside the Art a La Carte gallery has now grown to feature artists, service providers, and makers from across the DMV and beyond.
